About Me

Though I am a man of many passions, horror-writing was my very first.  I began as a disgruntled reader until I came across the Alvin Schwartz series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.  I was inspired to write some of my own horror shorts.  It’s been 30 years since those poorly scribbled novellas and poems that I taped to my Chicago bedroom walls.  My writing has been heavily influenced by my working-class background, my experiences in the military and my spiritual journey spanning four religions.  Through my writing, I hope to share with readers the unique perspectives of mine and those that I have come to love.  Yes, I have a tremendous amount of hope and love in my heart.  But, that heart resides in a dark world where repressive governments and evil have no boundaries… a world where politics and sexuality are infected by the wicked and the paranormal.  This is the World of Reyn.  And I welcome you in.
